I’m quickly approaching my 3-month anniversary of freelancing. I haven’t loved every minute but almost every minute. Being agile, I think, certainly sets me apart; trying to find the best way of working at the current time, adapting and testing. This isn’t exclusive to my clients but to also the way I work. After much thought and assessment, I’ve got to go into the new year with a new way of working. Let me tell you all about what’s changing…

Onsite working services

I assess everything, which prompts rapid changes in working. What works well, what doesn’t, my skills gap, everything I can measure and gauge. A trend I often see is the impact I can have with a business when I have some exposure to on-site working. Comparing this against solely remote working. The knowledge I can accumulate onsite is very rapid in comparison to remote working. I often find out more in one day onsite than months working remotely.

Agencies can spend years on a campaign and never grasp a business, I’m now striving to deliver incredible results to fewer companies vs. more companies remotely; through launching a new service in January 2022 for onsite working (Covid allowing). I currently work 6-8 days a month onsite and see more improvement in these companies vs. the remote cohort of clients.

Winding down White Label

I’m no longer accepting new white label agency partnerships and from January 2022, I will be winding this service down fully. I’ve got that many identities even I wake up some mornings and forget who I am, 7 Slack groups, 9 Outlook profiles and 13 agency partnerships (sounds like 12 days of Christmas!). Working with the agencies in my portfolio has been nothing short of a privilege and even after 12 years of working in this industry, I’ve learnt more in the last 3 months than the last 12!

New company partnerships

Due to my current workload, I likely won’t be able to facilitate any new customers until the start of March 2022. If you would like to work with me in the future, please do get in touch. Although I may not be able to support your campaign right away, I’ll do my best to fit you in. I do have a significant back log for new customers but I am also available for any advice too.

And a final note….

I’m currently working on a portfolio section of my site too. For those of you who follow on LinkedIn will probably see my graphs but little context. Hopefully in January I’ll have a pretty show-reel of my successes. Hopefully there will be a much prettier site in 2022 too; with some white papers, useful marketing blog posts and a few videos I’m working on too.

This will likely be my final update for 2021. I would like to thank everyone who has supported my transition to freelance – I’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by support. Going freelance has certainly been the best decision I’ve made in my life. I’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, hope you all enjoy a well-deserved break. I look forward to speaking to you all in the New Year – have a good one guys!
